At Just Driftin’, we have found super-hard, unique natural woods for your pets to enjoy. Your pet gets the stimulation it needs through the varied, comfortable surfaces, while spending hours of mobile fun on their custom-made penthouses. We believe that Dragonwood and Grapewood holds up better than Javawood or Manzanita.

It is easy to wash these wood perches. All Just Driftin’ pieces clean easily with a mild solution. They can be washed with a solution of a cup of bleach to a gallon of water. You can scrub lightly with a brush, let it dry completely. Your cleaning chore is over.

California Grapewood
Gnarly, natural and wild are only a few of the words used to describe this wonder of the bird world. Grapewood is rock hard, with lots of different surfaces to grip and makes even the grumpiest birds into lovable family members. This wood has been hand-selected in the fields, for it’s beauty and uniqueness, so you can have a one of a kind piece. Only the strongest, most beautiful trees make it from the vineyard to your home. All our products are sand or water blasted, unless you request them to be left natural.

Dragonwood
From the heart of Central Florida, comes the best kept secret of the entire bird world, DRAGONWOOD. It is great for any size bird from the smallest finch to the largest macaw. Our bird gyms are hand-crafted by out talented team of perch builders and design artists. These wonderful play gyms and cage perches have NO CRACKS in the wood at all, lots of tail room and a “poop zone” perimeter on our sturdy bases. This is a must have for any bird lover.

About our Bases
All our bases are made from ¾ “furniture grade” Verola Plywood with a 1/16 white Formica overlay. Our Bases are trimmed with the finest hardwood trim. They are known for their beauty as well as their toughness. Our wheels are also the finest money can buy. They roll easily on bare floors or carpet, and won’t leave any marks. All our bases come with a one year bumper to bumper warranty. We know you’ll be fully satisfied with our products. We can custom make and ship any size base you want. Each piece of Grapewood crates a world of hiding, climbing, sleeping and perching places for your pet. Natural Grapewood is a maze of twists and turns, creating a three dimensional area for your reptile terrarium. There are lots of textured surfaces that make it fun for your pet to crawl on and over. This wood can withstand the demands of a reptile environment. You can give your critter a hideaway that blends seamlessly into your terrarium’s landscape. Bird Perches
Every perch is unique in size and shape, this helps to relieve the different pressure points on the caged birds feet. These non-toxic, natural perches are very hard and durable, standing up to the most active bird’s playing and chewing habits.
A lot of foot problems can come from improper perching. The sleeping perch should be in the highest part of the cage. This perch should have the best fit. The grooming perch should have a larger diameter than the sleeping perch. The playing perch should be the smallest diameter. A multi-sized perch of varying diameters is an great choice for promoting foot exercise. A birds foot should wrap 65% to 75% around a perch for the best comfort. Perch variety can help alleviate foot problems.
